In an EU co funded project (2024-2025), we have been training future digitizers in cooperation with Xamk, the National Archives of Finland, ELKA, and the National Library of Finland. The goal of the project Flexible skill paths for digitization (JoDi) is to respond to the growing need for digitisation competence by developing a work life oriented digitisation training programme that ensures the development and maintenance of digitisation expertise at the regional level. Finnish Business Archive Association

The Finnish Business Archives Association aims to develop the information management, services, and archiving practices of companies and other organisations in the business sector. The association was founded in 1960. Its goal is to represent the highest level of expertise in the field in Finland and to ensure that the records management and archival practices of its member organisations are as well managed as possible. The association organises training, information activities, and publications to support the development of records‑management expertise. The member magazine Faili is published four times a year. The association also provides advisory and consulting services and maintains extensive connections with Nordic and other international sister organisations in the field.

Enskilda e-arkivet

Enskilda e-arkivet, established in 2022, aims to operate within the non-governmental archives sector with the goal of becoming a development center for a shared e-archive solution. The initiative was launched by Arkiv Sörmland, Folkrörelsearkivet för Uppsala län, and Föreningsarkivet Västernorrland. Three additional archival organizations have since joined: Sverigefinländarnas arkiv, Föreningsarkivet i Värmland, and Norrbottens föreningsarkiv. The association focuses on long-term digital preservation of records created by associations and companies, while also ensuring accessibility for research and the general public. This is a completely unique initiative within the Swedish archival community, combining an e-archive and a digital research room within the same solution.

The Infantry Museum

The Infantry Museum is a military history museum established in 1982. It is located in the old barracks area of Mikkeli, one of the best preserved wooden barracks complexes in Finland. The Infantry Museum collects and presents the history, traditions, and culture of the infantry, the main branch of the Defence Forces.
