Samiedu Vocational College
Ammattiopisto Samiedu is a vocational upper secondary education institution located in Savonlinna. In an EU co funded project (2024-2025), we have been training future digitizers in cooperation with Xamk, the National Archives of Finland, ELKA, and the National Library of Finland. The goal of the project Flexible skill paths for digitization (JoDi) is to respond to the growing need for digitisation competence by developing a work life oriented digitisation training programme that ensures the development and maintenance of digitisation expertise at the regional level. The studies include a six week on the job learning period.

Bioshare Digitization
We manufacture automatic digitisation lines for natural science museums and research institutions, and we operate on the international market. We also use our equipment ourselves and provide digitisation services at our facility located in the industrial area of Joensuu. Bioshare Digitization is a spin out company originating from the universities of Eastern Finland, continuing the work of the natural sciences digitisation centre Digitarium. Bioshare Digitization operates as an auxiliary business name of the company Sertifer Consulting Oy within its digitisation business area.

Culturelli Oy is a multidisciplinary restoration specialist with a particular focus on historic wallpapers. We digitise and archive wallpaper fragments while also producing historical reproductions of them for our clients. Finnish Business Archive Association
The Finnish Business Archives Association aims to develop the information management, services, and archiving practices of companies and other organisations in the business sector. The association was founded in 1960. Its goal is to represent the highest level of expertise in the field in Finland and to ensure that the records management and archival practices of its member organisations are as well managed as possible. The association organises training, information activities, and publications to support the development of records‑management expertise. The member magazine Faili is published four times a year. The association also provides advisory and consulting services and maintains extensive connections with Nordic and other international sister organisations in the field.
Enskilda e-arkivet
Enskilda e-arkivet, established in 2022, aims to operate within the non-governmental archives sector with the goal of becoming a development center for a shared e-archive solution. The initiative was launched by Arkiv Sörmland, Folkrörelsearkivet för Uppsala län, and Föreningsarkivet Västernorrland. Three additional archival organizations have since joined: Sverigefinländarnas arkiv, Föreningsarkivet i Värmland, and Norrbottens föreningsarkiv. The association focuses on long-term digital preservation of records created by associations and companies, while also ensuring accessibility for research and the general public. This is a completely unique initiative within the Swedish archival community, combining an e-archive and a digital research room within the same solution.
South Savo Vocational College, Esedu
South Savo Vocational College, Esedu is an upper secondary vocational education college located in the towns of Mikkeli and Pieksämäki. Our students, aged 16-60 study in basic vocational education, further or specialist qualifications or in apprenticeship training. A vocational qualification gives general eligibility for university of applied science and university studies.
The Economic Development Centre of Eastern Finland
The Economic Development Centres belong to the administrative branch of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. They are responsible for tasks relating to areas such as business and industry, rural areas, transport, the environment and natural resources. Economic Development Centres know the needs of the regions and operate locally.
South Savo Regional Council
The Regional Council of South Savo is a joint municipal authority for South Savo region. It operates according to the principles of local self-government. Its members are the eleven municipalities in the region, from which it receives its funding. Like all 18 regional councils in Finland, it is mandated in law.

Iron Mountain provides information management services, including physical and digital archiving, digitisation, and consulting. The Infantry Museum
The Infantry Museum is a military history museum established in 1982. It is located in the old barracks area of Mikkeli, one of the best preserved wooden barracks complexes in Finland. The Infantry Museum collects and presents the history, traditions, and culture of the infantry, the main branch of the Defence Forces. A visit to the Infantry Museum is an interactive experience where vivid true stories from history meet the present day.

The People's Archives
The People’s Archive serves both private individuals and organisations by collecting, preserving, organising, and cataloguing documents related to its field, and by making these materials available to researchers and other information seekers. Materials are collected at the national, regional, and local levels.

Museums of the City of Mikkeli
Museums are responsible for preserving, documenting, and promoting local material and visual cultural heritage by conducting research, providing education, organising exhibitions and publications, and offering a wide range of visual arts services. The Mikkeli Art Museum serves as the regional responsibility museum for art museum duties in South Savo.
Mikkeli Development Miksei
Mikkeli Development Miksei supports companies in all matters related to business development, such as activating sales and marketing, reviewing financial and funding questions, planning investments, internationalisation, and ownership changes.
The Mikkeli Cathedral Parish
The Mikkeli Cathedral Parish offers a wide range of services and activities. The parish organises worship services and church ceremonies such as baptisms, weddings, and funerals, as well as various events and gatherings. The Mikkeli University Consortium (MUC) is a network based competence cluster formed by three universities and approximately 130 experts. Through collaboration, the universities within the consortium address three major challenges — the sustainability transition, the transformation of entrepreneurship, and the digital transformation — by means of scientific research, education, and regionally impactful solutions and operating models. The consortium is based on an agreement between Aalto University, the University of Helsinki, LUT University, and the City of Mikkeli.

Ruotsinsuomalaisten arkisto
The Archive of Sweden Finns preserves documents related to the life and activities of Sweden Finns and works to support and promote Sweden Finnish culture and research. The archive was founded in 1977, and its members include Sweden Finnish, Finnish, and Swedish associations, companies, and private individuals. Our physical archives are located in Eskilstuna and Arninge. We also have a small project room for our activities at the Finnish bookstore in Vasastan, Stockholm.
Muisti Centre of War and Peace
Muisti is developing, together with its partners, the Memoriaali online service, which documents Finnish wartime experiences and is intended for private individuals, communities, and researchers. The service collects, shares, and preserves citizens’ private wartime materials alongside public and official records in a digital archive.
Central Archives for Finnish Business Records (Elka)
The aim of Central Archives for Finnish Business Records' (Elka) operations is to secure the preservation of historical information and traditions related to Finnish business life. The material stored in Elka is intended to be utilised by researches in current and future academic disciplines as well as by anyone else who requires the information.
Finnish Literature Society
The Finnish Literature Society (SKS), founded in 1831, is a learned society and a non profit association. SKS is Finland’s largest publisher of openly accessible humanities research literature, and its mission is to preserve cultural heritage and make it available to researchers and all those interested. SKS accepts materials related to folklore and literature.
Finnish Local Heritage Federation
The Finnish Local Heritage Federation, founded in 1949, is the central organisation for local heritage and cultural heritage work in Finland, as well as the advocacy body for local heritage activities. It is the largest cultural sector civic organisation in the country. The federation promotes local heritage work that is rooted in local conditions, strengthens participation, and embraces diversity.
